With an aim to provide quality DIIT, a categorization of the franchisecenters is done.The following steps are followed to get approval for a FRANCHISE to be certified as a DIIT franchise partner:

-          Any Compute Center interested to get their FRANCHISE registered, are required to check their eligibility based on the criteria laid down below.

-          DIIT will verify details based on online registration by FRANCHISE.

-          Increase markets and reach new customers.

-          DC/MCinterested, who wants to become a DIIT DC/MCcenter,will first have to register themselves as a FRANCHISE first then they will be able to register as a DIIT DC/MC.

-          FRANCHISE registration will be done by filling online form, registration fees and upload signature.

-          Post submission of the online form theteam shall do verification.

-          Based on the verification, the DIIT central team shall consider providing a provisional approval for the FRANCHISE to be certified under DIIT.

-          All DIIT FRANCHISE centres shall have some level of uniformity e.g. DIIT sign-board outside the center, wall coloring, records management, and those notified from time-to-time by the head office/coordinatorsof  DIIT.

-          All DIIT FRANCHISE shall comply to the uniformity standards within the time-frame as notified.

-          From time-to-time regular audit and verification shall be done by the central team of DIIT. During the process, if any DIIT FRANCHISE is found not adhering to the notified standards, shall be liable to be terminated with immediate effect or given a time frame to comply.

-          DIIT Minimum Requirements:

·         Center Carpet area -Minimum 500sq.ft

·         One reception Desk

·         Computer Lab classrooms

·         Sitting capacity for 30 students in at least one classroom

·         One Sign Display Board of DIIT – 8ft X 4ft

·         One Notice Board

·         At least 10 desktop computers/laptops with webcam and headphone

·         One printer

·         One scanner(A4 size)

·         One biometric device

·         One projector

·         Preferred License Software for all Computers- Operating System

·         Preferred License Software for all Computers – MS-OFFICE/ Open Office or Open Source Software

·         Power Backup (UPS/Inverter / Generator etc.)

·         All Systems Connected with LAN

·         Internet speed connectivity (1 mbps)

·         Atleast one full-time and part-time lab/teaching staff
